In conversation | Rare x In Bloom
Interview | Production | Editing | Photography
Our favourite part of being filmmakers is the diversity of what we do. It sounds like a cliché, but every day is different. From working on large scale corporate clients, to collaborating with other creatives, helping showcase local talent and working on passion projects of our own, it keeps us on our toes! So when we got a chance to sit down and chat with one of Aberdeen’s rising stars, we couldn’t really say no!
Cameron McQuillian, AKA Deejay Bloom, is not only one of the most exciting young talents to come out of Aberdeen in recent years, but is also one of the most humble to do so. A true Dj’s Dj, Bloom is as excited about producing and djing as he is passionate about it, and it shows in his music. We caught up with him and Rory Masson, head honcho of Rare, an underground student music night currently taking Scotland by force, to hear about his journey so far and what the future holds for him as he prepares to launch a new residency at Rare, release on his favourite label and head off to distant shores on tour. Expect big things from this boy!
